Why did we leave so early after only one week, the park is run down, the grass is so tall you wonder what in under it, the bob cats are not afraid of you they walk right by your rig or in our case, went under the 5th wheel right behind us.  There was so much rain all of the roads were mud, the Rangers say they have people who want to work but ELS is taking their time for the background checks.  It is a shame since there is over 200 acres, it would be a beautiful park to go to if they were to improve the sites and do something about the bob cats.

The drive here on Hwy 198 and 25 was scenic but highway 198 was winding with rough roads, hwy 25 was much better.  We arrived here in the park on Wednesday the 7th and will be here till the 21st. When you enter the park all you see is farm land and especially grape vines as this is wine country.

Entrance to park and sites below a large preserve, nestled in the hills with lots of green right now.

Family lodge pictures above with a great patio and dinning hall along with a wonderful Kitchen.  They need help here, as the previous person who did the cooking has passed away, you can see this would be a great dinning room with good food.

There is plenty of wildlife around, have not seen it yet, but am told there are several bobcats and deer that come onto the grass area where the bridge of the creek is at (picture below)
 



There are Magpies all over the area


There are 50amps ($3.00 a night) or 30 amps with septic. the sites are pull through, which Mike and I really like.  He does not have to take the tow dolly off, the site is long enough for it to stay on and the car parked in front.   Spring cleaning up the area has just started, in fact, today someone removed the leaves and cut the tall grass around our rig.  It is quiet right now, as we have gotten here early in the season, but after Memorial Day the park is buzzing with kids. 

The closets shopping is in Hollister, about 15 min. away for groceries, for major shopping you will need to go to Gilroy which is about 40 min.
