Oct. 1- 14 08 Back at Western Horizon's RV park here in Hurricane we will be putting on Texas Holdem Tuesday nights while we are here come visit us Site #39 **** April 17th -24thth 2008St. George Resort Hurricane UT (WHR,ROD,RPI,AOR) 5800 N. Hwy 91 435-879-2212 We arrived here one day early, as we left Camp Verde around 7:30AM and found the drive from there to here very easy even with all the stops I made Mike take (we took HWY 82A) what a wonderful scenic drive seeing the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The road was two lanes but there was no traffic and at times the road was rough but it was well worth it as the colors of the mountains and valleys are like a rainbow. Park as seen from I-15
If you come to this resort "DO NOT FOLLOW THE BOOK DIRECTIONS" we turned right instead of left off of hwy 82 onto old hwy 9 then we ended up about 10 miles too far north. After we realized we had to go to I-15 to exit 16 and as the book says take Old Hwy 91 to the resort along the frontage road. Well you do not want to do that it is paved then dirt then paved with a very large dirt hill that you will bottom out on. Take SR318 and you will have a wonderful view of Quail Lake State park as shown in above photo, and it is paved all the way to the resort. We came under AOR paying the $8 +$1 for eclectic for 50 amps each day.
Entrance to park is a large turn around area so you can unhook the auto before going to your site, the sites are pull through and back ins, with full hook ups 50 or 30 Amps, we choose the 50 so paid the extra money per day to use. The spaces are tight but yet room enough for sitting outside and having the awning down. The view out our window is of the Red Cliffs State Park
This home is right on the frontage road as you enter the park it is an old Fleming historical home. | |
