Port Townsend 2011 city dates back to the 1800's an Officer
and Gentlemen was filmed here, the ferry terminal to
Friday Island and Widbey Island are here, lots of tourist in
the summer from around the world. The weather, on July
7th was comfortable light jacket in the
afternoon turned out to be great. |

There were college students playing instruments on each

Public House Grill this is where we had lunch, we both
ordered the fresh Halibut, my piece was so small one bite
took care of the meal. Mentioned to the waitress
and she said she noticed they were getting smaller
pieces, took 25% off of bill. Which was nice Cost about
$25 with the 25% discount not including tip |

Interesting Facts In 1788 British fur trader John Meares
named the area Cape Disappointment after his inability to
locate the river's mouth
In 1792 Captain Robert Gray
named the Columbia River after his ship
North Head
and Cape Disappointment lighthouses are both functional and
are operated by the U.S. Coast Guard
North Head is
one of the windiest locations on the West Coast. Winds up to
120 miles per hour have been recorded

| There was a gentleman
fishing on the cliffs we talked with him when we got back to
the auto and he said he caught 3 perch. As you can see
from the photo above him the waves were huge, didn't think
any thing could be caught. |

is right downtown. Love this little town. |
| All of the above pictures are
of La Conner, WA. It is a wonderful town to explore
they have a great many restaurants which have great food one
of which is Seeds. All of the shops are crafts made by
locals and what crafts and workshop there is, all are great
if I had a house I could see me spending a great deal in
this town. I did find a handmade ring which I feel in
love with, had to walk the town before going back to get it. |

village in Alaska, has many great artists who only show and sell
their art during the summer months closing day after Labor Day.
This is a must stop on your travels.

in the 1800's, and you can walk from one end of the town to the
other and find many wonderful Mom and Pop stores.

Nation you must stop here, made daily, we have never tasted better.

Crystal who is the owner

does a wonderful job and I use her every time we are in Elma, she is
right behind Saginaw's and if you want Bread Pudding while getting
your hair done, they will serve it to you while Crystal is finishing
you Hair do. Make sure you tell her that Carol Sent you. You
will love the way you come out, also Men she is fast and really
good. Mike likes her and her shop! |

Mexican Restaurant food was just
as good as you would get in Tucson, AZ. WAS not Tex-Mex, I became a
happy camper after eating here, had missed eating my favorite food.
